Leaves!

Leaves in NW Ohio are a problem. What to do with them! Well, here's how I handle them.

Charge?

I don't charge extra for getting rid of your leaves. I don't rake them, but I do chop them up and bag them to remove them from your lawn. If you live in Port Clinton, I will put them at the curb for the city to pick up. If you live in other areas, I put them in my truck and cart them away. I don't charge extra.

But..

The only downside is that, while your grass might not be growing very fast in October or November, if your leaves are falling I will still have to mow weekly. Because if I wait 2 or 3 weeks to pick up your leaves, there will just be too many. So if you have leaves, expect me to continue to mow weekly. And of course, I will mow one last time when all the leaves are down so your lawn looks good all winter long.

Do-It-Yourselfers

Many like to take care of their own leaves. If you're one of those, that's fine with me. If you enjoy that, it will save you some money, because I won't have to come as often. All I ask is that you don't leave them sitting in a pile on your lawn. That actually makes more work, not less.
